Dragon Flight Team

Malcolm Campbell

Biography
Mr. Malcolm Campbell is retired Chief Warrant Officer with the United States Army.  Mr. Campbell flew both medivac and assault helicopters during the Vietnam War and continued flying the Cobra Attack helicopter until his retirement from active duty in 1994. He has logged 6000 hours in a variety of jets and helicopters and has been a member of the air show team for four years. His call sign is “Tow Bar”.

Fred Zoltz

Biography
Mr. Fred Zoltz is retired from the United States Air Force and has been the Manager of the March Field Aero Club for 24 years. He is a veteran pilot with more than 10,000 flying hours of which more than 4000 hours have been in the T-34. Fred has been the leader of the “Dragon Flight” formation for the last 15 years. His call sign is “Mad Dog”.

Howard Bingham

Don Goodin

Biography
Mr. Don Goodin is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force. He is a resident of San Bernardino, CA and is a veteran pilot with more than 10,000 flying hours. He began his flying career in 1959 as an Air Force Aviation Cadet and retired with over 30 years of service. He flew the A-37, a close air support aircraft in Vietnam and later flew the Air Force C141 Starlifter to Hanoi to return the last 40 American POWs to freedom. His call sign is “GOATMAN”.

Doug Gilliss

Biography
Mr. Doug Gilliss served in the United States Air Force and the USAF Reserves from 1969 to 1974 including service in Viet Nam. He flew fighter and transport aircraft, including the F-5 and the C-123, and was an advanced training instructor in aerobatics and formation with the T-38 supersonic jet trainer. His civilian FAA pilot ratings include Airline Transport Rating and Certified Flight Instructor. Doug is a resident of Solana Beach, CA. His call-sign is “LUNCH”.

Jerry Rohles

Biography
Mr. Jerry Rohles is a retired Commander with the United States Navy. He is as resident of San Clemente, California and is a veteran pilot with more than 3000 flying hours. During his 32 years in the United States Navy, he flew as a naval flight officer primarily in Anti Submarine Warfare aircraft. Mr. Rohles is a mission check pilot with the Civil Air Patrol and currently the Chief Flight Instructor with the March Field Aero Club. He has been flying with “Dragon Flight” for four years.  His call sign is “Bagel”.

George Watson

Biography
Mr. George Watson is retired First Sergeant from the United States Army. He is a resident of Temecula, California and is a pilot with more than 1200 flying hours.  George spent 22 years in the US Army as a drill instructor which shaped the lives of many young men. He earned his pilot wings at the University of New Hampshire. He currently flies as a mission pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. His call sign is "WUSS".


Cas Casillas

Biography
Mr. Eleas Casillas is a retired Colonel from the United States Air Force and a native Californian. He was awarded his Pilot Wings and commissioned a 2nd Lt., US Air Force in 1954. He is a Vietnam Veteran and in May 1966 he was assigned to the 355 Tac Fighter Wing in Tah-kli Air Base, Thailand. While at Tah-kli, he flew 101 combat missions, 100 combat missions over North Viet-Nam in the F-105 Thunderchief. He has accumulated more than 5000 hours flying time in Fighter aircraft including: F-86E & F, F-84G & F, F-100C & D, F-101, F104, F-105B, D & F, F-4D & E, and F-15. His decorations include; Silver Star, Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross with 6 Oak leaf Clusters, Air Medal with 18 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Meritorious Service Medal. He has been a member of the “Dragon Flight” team for 8 years. His call sign is “Walking Eagle”.
